Funeral for Agueda Aleman of Dundee will be held at 1 p.m. Monday in the Chapel of Macy & Son Funeral Directors, McMinnville, with Father Victor Perez officiating. Visitation will be from noon to 6 p.m. today and Sunday in the chapel.
She died Sept. 18, 2004, in Southwestern Medical Center, Lawton, Okla. She was 68. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Park, McMinnville.
She was born May 24, 1936, in Edinburg, Texas, daughter of Juventino and Carolina Barron Aleman. She and Aurelio Romero II married.
She loved music and most of all she enjoyed being around her grandchildren. "She will be missed dearly by her family, especially the grandchildren. She was an outgoing person and loved to socialize."
Survivors include five daughters, Poetra Romero of McMinnville, Enedella Romero and Esmerelda Romero, both of Portland, and Anna Maria Romero and Norma Iren Romero, both of Edinburg; two sons, Leonardo Romero of Dundee and Aurelio "Pico" Romero lll of Edinburg; two brothers, Juventino Aleman Jr. and Joe Aleman, both of Edinburg; two sisters, Tina Molina and Eusefomia Aleman, both of Edinburg; 26 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
