Services for Alva Aleshire, 78, Nixa, were held Wednesday in Riverside Baptist Church with the Rev. Tommy Bilyeu officiating. Burial was in Glenn Cemetery under the direction of Harris of Ozark.
Masonic Rites, conducted by Friend Lodge 352, were held Tuesday in the funeral chapel.
Mr. Aleshire died Sunday in his home after a short illness. He was a heavy equipment contractor and lived in Nixa most of his life. He was a member of Riverdale Baptist Church, Friends Lodge No. 352 of Ozark, Order of Eastern Star and Abou Ben Adhem of Springfield.
Survivors include his wife, Harriet; three sons, Bill, Nixa, Jack, Tucson and Randy, Parker, Ariz.; a sister, Mrs. Beulah Ball, Memphis, Tenn.; two brothers, Lawrence, Springfield and John, Kansas City and eight grandchildren.
