Alexander, Cyrus "Cy" John, age 90 of Plymouth went to be with his Lord on February 15, 2014. Cy was born in Redwood Falls, MN on September 1, 1923 to John G. Alexander and wife Edla, and was the youngest of four children. He was known for his charming sense of humor and endeared himself to all who knew him. the memory of his love and commitment to his beloved wife and family will be cherished in their hearts forever. His love for Jesus, his Lord and Saviour, guided his life. Cy was a Lt. Colonel in the United States Air Force. He served in WWII, Korean and Vietnam wars as a pilot. He was preceded in death by daughter Dawn; brothers, Ulysses and William and sister Faith. Survived by his wife of 64 years, Marilyn; daughters, Laura Nelson (David), Anne Black (Robert), Julie Garrett; grandchildren, Alexander, Natalie, Emily, Katie, Allison, David, Mariah, Heather, and Kelly; great-grandchildren, Caleb and Hazel as well as other loving relatives and friends. Funeral service 2 PM Monday, February 24, 2014 at Wooddale Church Edina Campus with visitation at 1 PM. Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery 10 AM Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at assembly area 2.
