Robert M. Alexander, born Jan. 7, 1936 in the Bronx to Capt. Ralph and Jane Conway Alexander, died after a sudden illness on Aug. 2, 2007. Bob was a merchant seaman, a lover of chess, philosophy, poetry, music, politics, and Celtic traditions. He lived in Nyack for the past 8 years. He is survived by Jim and Trudy Alexander (Atlanta), Eileen and John Piscatelli (Poughkeepsie), Bruce Alexander (NYC), Mary Jane Alexander and Don McMahon (South Nyack), and by many cousins, nephews and nieces, including Glenn (& Stephanie), Brian, Robert Piscatelli, Nicole and Bert Valentine, Deirdre & Morgan McClure, Caitlin and Mollie McMahon. Visiting at Hannemann's in Nyack Mon. Aug 13, 2-4, 7-9 PM; Funeral Mass 11 AM Tues. at St. Ann's RC Church in Nyack, followed by burial at Gate of Heaven.
