Obituary: Mrs. Anna Bliss Alexander: Widow of Colonel DeAlva S. Alexander, former representative in Congress, died Sunday in her home at 31 North Street. She was 80 years old.
Mrs. Alexander lived in retirement since the death of her husband about a year ago. Although for the last few years, she had been in poor health, formerly she was active in charitable work. She was interested in the Home for the Friendless and the Newsboys Home. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. Alexander, born in Canajoharie, was first married to Seth P. Bliss. In 1893, some time after his death, she married Colonel Alexander. There are no children by either marriage.
The private funeral will take place at the home, Tuesday afternoon. The Rev. S.V V. Holmes will officiate at the service. Burial will be in the family mausoleum in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
