Alford, Mrs. Louana Jane, a resident of Montgomery tor 40 years, died at her home, 779 Sayre St. at 11:30 a.m. Monday [September 14] following an illness of three weeks.
Surviving are a son, Judge B. Alford, Tuscaloosa; three daughters, Mrs. E.C. Murphy Sr., Montgomery; Mrs. Zelma Turnipseed, Montgomery; and Mrs. Mary Lou Dees, Milstead, Ala.; two brothers, J.T. Mitchell, Long Beach, Calif.; J.T. Mitchell, Electra, Tex.
The funeral will be held from White Chapel Wednesday at 2 p.m…. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
