Services: 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 14 at WATSON-YATES FUNERAL HOME, Front & King Sts., Seaford. Visitation: 1-2 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Seaford, DE. The Rev. Dr. Bruce E. Cooke will officiate.
Born in Bridgeville, DE, the daughter of the late John & Evelyn Todd Dickerson, her husband, Robert Layton Davis Allen died in 1985. She was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church in Seaford. She was also a member of Seaford Acorn Club and Seaford Golf & Country Club where she enjoyed a life long interest in golf. She was one of the founding stockholders in Allen Petroleum Corporation of Seaford.
She is survived by 2 sons, Robert W. Allen of Seaford, DE & Dr. John F. Allen of Bowen Island, BC, Canada; 1 daughter, Beatrice A. Moore of Seaford, DE; a sister Margaret Doordan of Bridgeville, DE; 5 grandchildren Donald F. Moore & Robin Emily Moore, both of Seaford, DE, Megan Elizabeth Allen of New York City, Mary Kate Allen Nagy of Rockville, MD, Ilona Elizabeth Allen of Vancouver, BC, Canada; 1 great grandson, Alexander Allen Nagy of Rockville, MD.
