She was 91 years old. Born in Waterville, Maine, she was brought to St. Paul by her parents at the age of 6. She was graduated from Carleton College in 1868. In 1870 she married to Mr Allen who founded the J P Allen Medicine Co. in that year. Originally on Third St, the concern now is at 188 W Seventh St. Mr Allen died in 1916.
Mrs Allen is survived by five grandchildren, Allen H Williams of Denver; Mrs D S Bruce of Somerville N.J.; Mrs R D Challoner of Omaha; John Franklin Allen of Chicago; and Miss Sally Allen of White Bear Lake. A great-granddaughter, Dorothy Williams of Denver, also survives.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, with burial in Oakland Cemetery.
