Annie Mae Price, the daughter of Will G. and Mattie Price born June 19 , 1894 married Charlie Frank Allen the widower of Belle Fowler Allen . She was a loving wife and stepmother to her five stepchildren whose mother Belle Fowler Allen had died . After Annie Mae Price Allen gave birth to her and Charlie Frank Allen's son William Clinton Allen , she also gave her love in abundance to him . In the spring of 1940 for a few months she and her husband Charlie Frank Allen welcomed Charlie's grandson Will Allen , Jr. into their home so Will could complete his senior year at Mooreville High School and graduate with the 1940 class of 8 there . Late in her life as a widow she welcomed her blind mother Martha J. " Mattie " Price into her home and lovingly cared for her until her mother died . On December 24 , 1987 Annie Mae Price Allen died in Lee County , Mississippi . She was preceded in death by her parents , her husband Charlie Frank Allen and stepson Will Anderson Allen and survived by her son William Clinton Allen , her daughter-in-law Dimple Allen and stepchildren Birdie Allen Shumpert , Jesse Allen Morgan , Mildred Allen McKinney , and Myrtle Allen Priddy as well as her step grandchildren .
