According to Sherman's WW1 Draft Card he was born in 1896. However, everything else indicates that he was born in 1898. He worked for the railroad until the 1940's then as an attendant supervisor for the Norfolk, NE State Hospital. Sherman and Nora were married on 10 September, 1917 in Stanton, NE. They had two children: Merrill Paul Allen (1920-2010) and Mathel Frances Allen Wilson (1922-1994).
