Arthur Edward Allen Services will be held at Tahoma National Cemetery, Covington, January 4th, at 10:30 sharp. A memorial service will be held at Spana Park Senior Center, 325 152nd St. E., on January 5, 2008 at 1:30. Art was born January 23, 1932, and died December 22, 2007. He was a machinist by trade, however he retired from his own business. He also was a volunteer fireman with the Federal Way Fire Dept. for many years. After moving to Pierce County, he became the Black Powder Chairman at Paul Bunyan Rifle and Sportsman Club (aka Tall Hat). Art loved music, from opera and classical to country and everything in between. He had an extensive record collection going back to his teens. Another hobby was photography and developing his own pictures. Most recently, Art became a ham radio operator, and belonged to the Tahoma Radio Club. Art is survived by his wife of 56 years, (Wilma) Jean, daughters Cathleen and Barbra, sister Betty, two grandchildren, Dennis and Charlotte, great-grandchildren Dusty, Brandon and Austin, plus several nieces and nephews. His family and numerous friends will surely miss Art.
