Lillian "Sandy" Voight, age 64 of Shelton, entered into rest Tuesday, March 4, 2008 at Bridgeport Hospital with her loving family by her side. Sandy was born in Bridgeport, August 20, 1943, daughter of the late William and Ruth Mixon Voight Jr., and was a Valley resident for more than five years, previously living in North Carolina. She was formerly employed at Sears in North Carolina in the shoe department, and most recently was an assistant day care provider at Dawn's Day Care in Bethany. She enjoyed crocheting, drawing, boating, traveling, and loved animals. Sandy was the beloved mother of Dawn Hebert, and the loving sister of Ruth Ann Fririhio and her husband, Pat. She was the cherished grandmother of Rochelle "Shelly" Hebert, and Richard A. " Ricky" Hebert. Sandy also leaves several half brothers. She was the loving aunt of Robin Conaty and her fiance, Joe Bologna, Darlene Angelucci and her husband, Stephen. Beloved great aunt of Tommy and Elaina. Sandy also leaves a special" Big Brother," Stanley Gorlo and also a special cousin, James Christopher, as well as several other cousins. Friends may greet the family Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Riverview Funeral Home 390 River Road Shelton. On Saturday, her funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 7:45 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial at 8:30 a.m. in St. Joseph Church, Shelton. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Bridgeport. At the request of her family, memorial contributions may be made to The Rochelle Hebert Education Fund through the funeral home.
