Beriah Allen, 73, died last evening at the Litchfield County Hospital where he had been a patient for the past 10 weeks. Mr. Allen was born in Utica, NY on October 29, 1872. He was the son of Henry and Catherine [Caroline L.] Barber Allen. For the past 30 years he lived with his sister Mrs. Angie Green, at her former home in Colebrook River. He is survived by two sisters, Angie Green, now of Winsted and one brother Ralph W. Allen of Colebrook River. He also leaves two nephews, Raymond Allen and Allen Case of Bristol. Burial will be in Forest View Cemetery. Pall bearers were Eugene Bourquin, Joseph Rowley, and Earl Smith of Colebrook River and Albert Morton of Winsted.
