FUNERAL OF F.A. ALLEN

SERVICES FOR ESTEEMED RESIDENT ARE HELD THIS AFTERNOON—TRIBUTES ARE PROFUSE

The funeral of Frank A. Allen was held this afternoon at 1:30 o'clock from the late residence, 405 Division Street. The service was conducted by Rev. F. A. Pease, pastor of the First Methodist Church, and the singing was furnished by a group of ten boys of the vested choir of Trinity Episcopal Church, to which Dale Allen, a son of the deceased belongs. The singers were accompanied by Mrs. Clara Do*man. The funeral party was taken in special inter-urban cars to Riverside Cemetery, where the body was buried.

The funeral was very largely attended, organizations to which Mr. Allen belonged being largely represented, as well as many intimate friends being present. These various organizations also sent floral tributes. The Fraternal Reserve association of which he was state vice president as well as past president of Council No. 1 of Oshkosh, sent a wreath of red roses and lilies. Oshkosh assembly No. 21, E. R U. of which Mr. Allen was assistant warden and past president, sent an emblem of the order in roses and lilies.

The casket was completely covered with calla lilies and roses and among the various organizations which sent floral token of regret and esteem were Oshkosh Aerie No. 267, Fraternal Order of Eagles, anchor of lilies and roses; ladies drill team of the F.H.A. anchor of pine and white roses; Ladies of the Maccabees, roses; employees in the cigar store in which Mr. Allen was employed, carnations; Maynard & Bond, calla lilies.

The son, Dale Allen, had given a crescent of roses with the work "Papa" and the young associates expressed their sympathy by floral tributes. The boys of the vested choir sent carnations; the boys in Miss Florence Minors' Sunday school class sent calla lilies and pupils in Miss Dollar's room at school sent carnations and even the children in the neighborhood united in remembering a citizen who had always been their friend by sending carnations.

In addition to these there were innumerable floral tributes from individual friends and relatives, all attesting to the love and regard in which Mr. Allen was held. Among those present were a number from out of this city.
