He was born Oct. 10, 1924, in Oshkosh, the son of Dale and Bess Allen. He married Edith L. Brand, June 16, 1951, in Oshkosh.
An Army veteran of World War II, Mr. Allen was a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. He taught in Pontiac, Mich., for 16 years, and was presently a math teacher at Oshkosh West High School.
He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, past worshipful master of Oshkosh Masonic Centennial Lodge No. 205, and leading knight of Oshkosh Elks Club No. 292.
Surviving are his widow; two daughters, Susan Woik, Mayville, and Mary Beth Allen, Oshkosh; two sons, Gary and Keith, both of Oshkosh; his mother, Oshkosh; and three grandchildren.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Zion Lutheran Church, the Rev. Gerald Nerenhausen officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Friends may call at Seefeld Eagle Street Chapel from 5 to 7 p.m. today, and Tuesday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services. A Masonic service will be at 7 p.m. today in the Eagle Street Chapel. Memorials have been established for Hospice and the Zion Lutheran Church organ fund.
