Grace Malone Allen, 75, died Tuesday, May 4, 1999, at the Tupelo Manor Nursing Home after a long illness. A lifelong resident of Tupelo and Lee County, she was born Sept. 10, 1923, the daughter of James Mitchell and Lela Simmons Malone. She worked several years for Central Services, the Bank of Mississippi and Tombigbee Electric Supply. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school for many years. She was the widow of Jimmie Lee Allen, who died Dec. 23, 1993.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Jefferson Street Chapel of W.E. Pegues with Dr. Gayle Alexander officiating. Burial will be in Tupelo Memorial Park.
Survivors include one daughter, Brenda White, and her husband, Roger, or Tupelo; two sistere, Jaunita Bittle of Tupelo and Gena Young of Verona; two grandchildren, Sheri White and Stacy Gilbreath, both of Tupelo; three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parentes one sister, WIlma Kelly; and two brothers, Dennis Malone and James Malone.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Malone, Mike Malone, Barry Malone, Steve Young, Larry Malone and Junior Malone.
VIsitation will be gro 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
