RUTH LAURA (ALLEN) COFFIN ALDRICH;LEE – Ruth Laura (Allen) Coffin Aldrich, 90, died June 11, 2006, in Lincoln. She was born June 8, 1916, in Lincoln, the daughter of Albert Isaac and Laura (Jordan) Allen. Ruth enjoyed knitting, crocheting and cooking, and she was always busy making something. She was a member of the Christian Missionary Alliance Church of Lee. She is survived by three sons, Kenneth Coffin of Lincoln, Archie Coffin of Austin, Texas and Cedric Coffin of Stratton; six stepchildren, Earl Aldrich of Clarksville, Tenn., Juanita Brown of Ellsworth, Duane Aldrich of Lincoln, Roberta Miller of Spotsylvania, Va., Gail Mackiewicz of Wallingford, Conn. and Muriel Hamilton of Hendersonville, N.C.; a special daughter-in-law, Irene Charette of Lee; numerous grandchildren, great-grand-children, great-great-grand-children, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband, Ralph Coffin; her second husband, Charles Aldrich; two sons, Gaylon Coffin and Randolph Coffin; two brothers, Bernard Allen and Roger Allen; a half sister, Harriette Belanger; four stepsisters, Louise Washburn, Bernice Leighton, Blanche Boyd and Madeline Nash. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, June 13, at the Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Rd., Lincoln. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Vince Hartford officiating.
