ALLEN, AGNES EDITH — Agnes Edith Allen was born, July 22, 1879, in Cave-in-Rock, Ill. At the age of two years she was moved with her parents, Dr. and Mrs. George Mozee, to Geneva.
October 20, 1903, she was united in marriage with Merton D. Allen. They made their home in Ohiowa.
Two daughters were born to this union, Gladys, Mrs. W. J. Stewart of Lincoln, and Mildred, Mrs. Frank Leenerts of Phoenix.
She was a member of the Methodist church and active in the Order of the Eastern Star.
After Mr. Allen passed away in 1892, she made her home in Denver, where she passed away Sunday, September 3, 1961, at the age of 82 years, 1 month and 11 days.
Survivors are two daughters, two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 1 p. m. Thursday, September 7, at the Kritner-Farmer funeral home in Geneva, with Rev. Charles L. Flinkinger of the Shickley Methodist church officiating.
Mrs. H. A. Rosenau of Geneva sang “Going Down the Valley One By One” and “No Night There”, accompanied by Mrs. Willard H. Foster, also of Geneva.
Pallbearers were Marlin Domeier, Ralph Kinder, Allen Kline, Robert Schelkopf, Stanley Schelkopf and Robert Yates. Interment was in the Geneva cemetery.
