Rev. Abraham W. Allen was pastor of the first church in Highlands N.J. The Dutch Reformed Church, which was built in 1875 by its twelve founding members, at Fifth and valley streets in the heart of Parkertown. He died at the age of 70 in dec,1884, and was laid to rest in the small church cemetery. In 1915 the twelve members buried there, were reburied at All Saints Church Cemetery in Navesink N.J. All are buried under one large marker.
