Gladys Allingham

SPRINGFIELD — A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 28, at the Chalet Village clubhouse in Springfield for Gladys Allingham of Springfield, who died April 23 of age-related causes. She was 88.

She was born Sept. 11, 1923, in Driscoll, N.D., to Ole and Selma Wold Nyseth. She married Emmett Allingham on Feb. 21, 1942, in Fort Lewis, Wash. He died Feb. 28, 1986.

She was a homemaker.

Survivors include three daughters, Sandy Paxton of Lincoln City, Diane Culp of Crescent and Cheryl Ralston of Springfield; 10 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. A daughter, Delores Johnson, died Feb. 1, 2010.

Inurnment will be at Springfield Memorial Gardens. Remembrances to Springfield Lutheran Church or the American Cancer Society.
