Albert Cecil Allison, 91, of Columbus, GA, died Sunday, October 19, 2014 at Gentiva Hospice

.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM, Thursday, October 23, 2014 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907 with Chaplain Wayne Holloway officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home. A private interment will be held at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery.



Mr. Allison was born on March 25, 1923 in Phenix City, AL, son of the late Frank Allison and Annie Mae Cook Allison. He was a WWII Veteran, serving in the U.S. Army Air Corps. In 2010, he was chosen for the Honor Flight Program. Mr. Allison was in the printing business with Foote and Davies Company in Doraville, GA for over 40 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, and won many awards and trophies for bass fishing and coon hunting. Mr. Allison was also an avid fan of the Atlanta Braves and the University of Alabama football.



Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Albert Doyle Allison; his siblings, Leon Allison, Frank Allison, Mae Adams, LeRoy Allison, Madeline West, Patricia Vickery, Johnny Allison, Dick Allison, and Ed Allison; and a special friend, Clara Hansard.



Survivors include his daughters, Deborah Allison McLean of Columbus, GA and Donna Allison Whitfield of Roswell, GA; daughter-in- law, Evelyn Allison; grandchildren, Todd McLean (Charlene), Allison McLean Wilbanks (Bryan), Amanda McLean Hoskins (Chad); 7 great-grandchildren; and brothers, Bill Allison (Martha) of Venice, FL and Jim Allison (Joyce) of Melbourne, FL.



In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 233 12th Street #710 Columbus, GA 31901.
