Amos Canadar Allman, Jr., 74, of Roanoke, Va., went home to be with his Lord on Monday, February 8, 2010. Born on June 26, 1935, in Franklin County, Va., he was the son of the late Amos C. and Annie Perdue Allman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Chapman McCrickard. A.C. was a graduate of Franklin County High School and had worked for the past 35 years as a car salesman. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who will be long remembered for his caring gentle spirit and sense of humor. Surviving are his wife, Carol Allman; children, Rex Allman and wife, Cindy, Mark Allman and wife, Dreama, all of Covington, Mimi Boone and husband, Keith, of Rocky Mount, Dale Allman and wife, Connie, of Penhook, and Tammy Moushegian and husband, Jeff, of Salem; step children, Sheri Prillaman and husband, Chris, Angela Lantz and husband, Donnie, all of Roanoke, and Lisa Erazo and husband, Joaquin, of Leesburg; grandchildren, Jessi, Levi, and Esther Allman, Simon, Colby, Jack, and Eric Boone, and Alex, Blake, and Brad Moushegian; step grandchildren, D.W. and Sam Shelton, Cameron, Chloe and Caitlyn Erazo, and Mackenzie, Braden and Josie Prillaman; and sister, Marie McCrickard, of Martinsville. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. on Friday, February 12, 2010, at Life Church by Pastor Troy B. Webb. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, February 11, 2010, at Simpson Funeral Home, 5160 Peters Creek Road, 540-366-0707.
