He was a lifelong area resident and member of Eastwood Baptist Church. Gene worked for Cannon Mills for many years in the weave room of Plant #6 as a loom fixer. He retired in 1990. Gene enjoyed riding his motorcycle, rabbit hunting and gardening. He was a loving father, grandfather and brother
