Alaina C. Allman, 12, died Wednesday, March 6, 2002, at her residence in Greenwood.
She was born Sept. 21, 1989, in Beech Grove. Her parents are Randall R. Allman of Greenwood and Mary F. (Schlinker) Dowden of Beech Grove and Beth (Eads) Allman of Greenwood. Survivors include six brothers, Christopher "Chip" Dowden of Mishawaka, Brian Dowden and Ryan Scruggs, both of Indianapolis, Nick Tharp of Greenwood and Derek Scruggs and Lucas Dowden, both of Beech Grove; three sisters, Tara Tharp, Chasity Allman and Skylar Allman, all of Greenwood; paternal grandparents, Larry and Judy (McKinney) Allman of Indianapolis; maternal grandparents, Mitch Schlinker of Louisville, Ky., and Judy (Davis) Schlinker of Beech Grove; great-grandmothers Oquerita McKinney of Brownstown and Lib Allman of Medora; and stepgrandparents, Gordon and Beth (Taylor) Eads of Greenwood.
She was a sixth-grader.
She was a member of Mount Pleasant Christian Church in Greenwood and the church's basketball and soccer programs; Johnson County 4-H Horse and Pony Club; and 4-H Dog and Puppy Club. She loved all animals and her pet dog, Chase.
The Rev. Craig Tucker will conduct a service at 11 a.m. Friday at Mount Pleasant Christian Church in Greenwood. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today at Forest Lawn Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Home, State Road 135 Chapel, and from 10 a.m. until service time Friday at the church. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in White River Township.
