C. K. Allworth, prominent business and civic leader of Wapello died suddenly at his home here Monday morning of a heart attack.
Mr. Allworth was 51 years of age. Services were held yesterday
afternoon.
He is survived by his widow, the former Vada Harwood; a son, Burton Frederick Allworth of Mediapolis; a daughter, Mrs. Bernard Parsons of
Wapello; and two grandchildren. Also surviving is a brother, Frank Allworth.
Funeral services were held at the Wapello Methodist church at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Leonard Tinker, pastor of the church,
officiating. Burial was in the Wapello cemetery.
The business houses of Wapello closed Wednesday afternoon from 1:00 to 3:00 out of respect to Mr. Allworth.
