Maria S. Alonso Alejo was born Oct. 11, 1922, in Aguascalientes, Mexico, the daughter of Benito and Maria Munos Alonso. She married Alberto Alejo Jan. 4, 1949, in Aguascalientes. He preceded her in death Dec. 21, 1998.

Survivors include her ten children; 18 grandchildren; and sisters, Ana Maria Esparza, East Moline, Aurora Valenciano and Maria del Refugio Rosas, both of Mexico.
