Mr. Amarante was born July 10, 1953 in Wallingford, a son of the late Joseph G. and Mary (Ruotolo) Amarante, Sr. and had resided in Dayville for over 20 years.
Mr. Amarante had been employed as a sales representative in the manufacturing industry for most of his career. He enjoyed fishing, cooking and was active in his church.
Besides his wife he leaves two sons, Joseph G. Amarante, III and Daniel C. Amarante both of Dayville; two daughters, Joy M. Amarante of Dayville and Angel A. Amarante of Coventry; two stepsons Anthony J. Durand of Moosup and Raymond J. Durand, Jr. of Thompson; two brothers Frank Amarante of Wallingford and Vincent Amarante of New Haven; one sister Mary Grace Amarante of Meriden; six grandchildren Alexander, Spencer, Antonio, Liliana, Jeremy and Elijah.
