Willie James Ambrose was born September 14, 1943 in Goodman, MS to the union of the late Matthew and Lucille Ambrose. He attended Goodman Primary School. Willie spent his career doing what he loved; driving trucks. He drove trucks for over thirty years.

Willie attended Walden Chapel United Methodist Church and he loved his church family.

Willie was called home to glory on Monday, January 12, 2015.

Willie was preceded in death by a loving daughter; Annie Hampton, son; Curtis Steverson, two brothers; Sullivan Ambrose and Matthew Luther Ambrose, four sisters; Maude Eva-McGroe, Doris Lewis, Maxine Sample-Smith, and Maggie Ambrose.

He leaves to cherish his memories his lovely children; Randy Thurman, Willie Bates Jr., Terry (Violetia) Ambrose, Monica (Tony) Chambers, Tracy Ambrose, Kenoshia Morgan, and Jasmine Fields, two brothers; Will J. (Linda) Ambrose and Roosevelt Ambrose, a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and some very special people who wer dear to his heart; Erica Demery, Sammy Johnson Jr., Joe Louis Ambrose, and Lou Jessie Williams.
