Edna M. Ames, 93, passed away on July 13, 2009. Born in Riverside the daughter of the late James and Florence (Queenan) Hollinshead. She lived in Lincoln for 54 years before moving to North Kingstown in 1999 and moved to Ocala, FL in 2005. A Graduate of Johnson & Wales (class of '38) she worked for Coats Field in Central Falls for many years. She was a member of Saint Jude Church in Lincoln for many years and a member of Saint Bernard Church in North Kingstown.

Her husband of 43 years, Frank D. Ames Sr. and brothers James Hollinshead of Riverside, Walter Hollinshead of Hull, MA and sisters Florence Case and Irene Hollinshead both of Riverside and stepson Frank Ames Jr. of Camden, ME preceded her in death.

She is survived by a daughter, Carolyn Forgette of Ocala (with whom she lived) and two sons Kenneth Ames of Overland Park, KS and Elliot Ames of Smithfield, RI and 10 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter.

Her Funeral will be held Saturday, July 18, 2009 at 9am from the FAGAN-QUINN Funeral Home, 825 Boston Neck Road, North Kingstown with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Bernard Church, 415 Tower Hill Road, North Kingstown. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Providence. Visiting hours Friday 4-8pm.
