Edith Elva BOXELL, 80, of Noble, died at 1:05 p.m. Saturday, May 3, 1997, at Flora Pavilion Nursing Center.

Mrs. BOXELL was born Jan. 30, 1917, in Urbana, the daughter of John and Clara (RYKER) WEASE. She married Harvey AMMONS. He preceded her in death. She married Joe WORREL. He preceded her in death. She then married Gene BOXELL.

She was a retired homemaker.

She is survived by her husband; three sons, Kenneth AMMONS, of Rochester, Charles AMMONS, of Oblong, and Jim AMMONS, of Macon; three daughters, Evelyn NICHOLS, of Eldon, MO, Delpha HUFFMAN, of Champaign, and Mary Louise STEVENS, of Eldon, MO; one brother, Chester WEASE, of Olney; four sisters, Mildred PATTERSON and Mabel SOUDER, both of Noble, Alice PATTERSON, of Clay City and Leone MASTRODOTTI, of Bonneville; 25 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, second husband, a daughter, Eva, a brother, Earl and four grandchildren.

Services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Noble, with Pastor Glenn POOL officiating. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery in rural Noble. Visitation will be Wednesday one hour before services at the funeral home.
