Anita Marie Davis Anastasia, born August 28, 1930, wife of the late Anthony J. Anastasia, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, April 27, 2015. Born in Norwalk, CT, she was the daughter of Arthur Davis, a former Norwalk Police Officer, and Ann Elizabeth O'Connor Davis.
She attended St. Mary's School, Center Junior High School and graduated Norwalk High School. She also attended writing courses at Fairfield University and Westport Continuing Education.
After her marriage, she moved to Westport where she lived most of her life. She worked designing the page layout for Brooks Community Newspapers.
She volunteered for the United Way, March of Dimes and The Jimmy Fund and gave generously to animal shelters, Boys Town and the Disabled veterans.
Anita loved writing, music and sewing. She was an accomplished swimmer and a published poet.
She will be sadly missed by her 4 children, David, Donna, Gary and Jay, 8 grandchildren, Denise, Steven, Nicole, Noelle, Justine, Anastasia, Jason and Ryan, and 5 great grandchildren, Michayla, Diana, Marissa, Matthew and Tyler, as well as many other family members and friends. She was predeceased by her much-loved brother, William Davis.
