Mrs. Paul (Clara) Anders, 66, of St. Nazianz, died early today at Holy Family Hospital in Manitowoc following a lingering illness. Funeral services will be in St. Nazianz at the Christianson Funeral Home and at St. Gregory's Catholic Church with Rev. Denis Cooney, pastor, will be celebrant of the requiem Mass and burial will be in the church cemetery.
A daughter of the late John and Mary Weber Knier, she was born in St. Nazianz on May 14, 1897, educated in St. Nazianz, and married to Mr. Anders on April 26, 1921, at St. Gregory's Catholic Church. At one time, the family lived in Kiel for two years. She was a member of St. Gregory's Church and its Christian Mothers Society.
Survivors are her husband; seven daughters, Mrs. Alfred (Irene) Robertson, Mrs. Robert (Katherine) Warzala, Mrs. William (Helen) Mastopietro, and Miss Sylvia Anders all of Milwaukee, Mrs. Martin (Marcella) Bennington of Manitowoc, Mrs. Rita Bruechert of St. Nazianz, Mrs. Jerome (Agnes) Meyer of rural Cleveland; eight brothers, Louis, Tony and Ambrose Knier of Sheboygan, the Rev. Albert Knier of coral Gables, Fla., Joseph, John and Edmund of Rural Kiel, Bernard of Elkhart Lake. Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Raymond (Marie) Schuh of Manitowoc, Mrs. Mike (Angeline) Schwoerer of rural Valders, and 22 grandchildren.
