Alma Theora Andersen

Andersen Alma Theora Andersen, born October 24, 1909. Passed away February 24, 2003 at the age of 93. Preceded in death by husband, Harry Edward Andersen. She will be lovingly remembered by daughters, Jeanenne (Gaylord) Fernstrom and Maureen(Roger) Podany; son, John H. (Caroline) Andersen; 9 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and many loving friends. An active member of the community throughout her life, Alma was a founding member and first President of Zuhrah Shrine Ceremonial Unit Ladies and a life member of the Order of the Eastern Star #37. In addition to her family, Alma was passionate about fishing, gardening, ceramics, and caring for animals of all types. Memorial service will be held Monday, March 3, 11 am, St. Peder's Lutheran Church, 4600 E. 42nd St., Mpls. Private interment Lakewood Cemetery. Memorials to Shriners Childrens Hospital or Hennepin County Animal Humane Society.
