Emmagean Anderson, 78, a retired cashier, of Las Vegas, passed away Sunday, Jan. 2, 2005. She was born Sept. 15, 1926, in Salt Lake City and raised in Boulder City. Emmagean loved playing cards, shopping and going on vacations with her daughter, Barbara. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Erma and Henry Wellman; brother, Bill Wellman; and sister, Phyllis Mayhew. Emmagean is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Greg Evans; son and daughter-in-law, Ron and Teressa Anderson; nine grandchildren, Juliane Gangi, James Cox, Ronald, Gina, Maria, Bianca, Karol, Adam and Alex Anderson; two adopted daughters, Bernadette Orr and Joyce Lewis; lifetime friend, Rose Pelland; and family members. To be with her means happiness, to be loved by her is a gift, her smile lights the heavens now and her hugs will always last. Her memory will be cherished and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Visitation will be from 4:30-7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 6. Viewing also from 1-3 p.m. Friday, Jan. 7, with services immediately following, all at Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
