Marguerite "Margaree" (Looper) Anderson was born on January 29, 1923 in Overton, Shelby County, Tennessee, the daughter of Willie Joe Looper (1887–1972) and Martha "Emma" (England) Looper (1885–1969).

She was married to Preston Anderson (1923–1996), the son of Oliver "Bob" Anderson (1889–1965) and Vera (Carr) Anderson (1903–1979).

A member of Woodbine Baptist Church and living in Nashville, Davidson County, Margaree was 91 years old when she passed away on September 12, 2014.

Preceded in death by her parents and by her husband, she was survived by a married daughter, a son, a granddaughter, grandson, sister and several nieces and nephews.

Burial was in Woodlawn Memorial Park, Nashville.
