James Edward Anderson, 91, of Nashville, Tennessee, passed away on March 26, 2016.

James was born in Sparta, Tennessee in 1924, and married Vivian McCormick on August 15, 1947.

James is survived by his wife Vivian, children Ronald (Elaine) Anderson and Donna (Charles) Edens; grandchildren David (Lisa) Anderson, Cheryl (Andy) Piper, Ryan (Ashley) Edens, and Eric (Diane) Edens; great grandchildren Jonas, Caleb, and Callie Anderson, Riley Edens, and Olivia and Caitlyn Piper.

James was preceded in death by his parents, Edd and Callie (Judd) Anderson; and brothers Joe (Anna) and Jesse (Ruby).

James worked at Jim Reed Chevrolet for over 41 years until his retirement. He was a faithful member of the West Nashville Cumberland Presbyterian Church and served on the Board of Deacons.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 30, 2016, at 11:00am, at West Harpeth Funeral Home with Rev. Jeffrey DeWees and Rickey Page officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the West Nashville Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4:00pm until 7:00pm, and on Wednesday one hour prior to the service at West Harpeth Funeral Home, 6962 Charlotte Pike, online guestbook www.westharpethFH.com (615) 352-9400.
