Mr. Anderson was a veteran of the US Army, having served his country during WWII at Normandy, the Battle of the Bulge and other battles. He attended the Natchez Trace Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Roberta Penn Anderson.
He is survived by his daughter, Lonnie (Art) Peddle; granddaughters, Lori (Al) Daugherty and Teri (Terry) Briley; great-grandchildren, Matthew, Kaitlyn and Kelsey Daugherty, and Nathan and Daniel Briley.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday at 2:30 p.m., in the Dignity Hall at the Woodlawn Roesch-Patton Funeral Home, with Dr. Terry Briley officiating. Placement will follow in the Woodlawn Cross Mausoleum. Visitation will be held on Friday evening from 4 p.m. till 8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service at the Woodlawn Memorial Park and Funeral Home.
