Charlotte Walton ANDERSON

ANDERSON, Charlotte Walton Age 89, passed away, on August 22, 2011. She was the widow of Russell Burton Anderson. She was born to the late Ernest Biles Walton and Effie King Walton, and preceded in death by sister, Sue Walton Cherry and brother, John Charles Walton. Survived by daughter, Mary Ellen Anderson Rimer (Michael) of Moscow, TN; son, Richard Burton Anderson (Cindy) of Nashville, TN; six grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter, Addison Gayle Gay. Member of Brenthaven Cumberland Presbyterian Church and of the Cumberland Presbyterian Women. Retired from AT&T/Bellsouth and was a Life Member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. Participated in the Adult Literacy Program at Cohn High School. Graduate of Vanderbilt University, belonged to Quing-50-year Alumni Association. Active in Campbell Chapter DAR; Ladies Hermitage Association; Reach Out Guild; West Nashville Founders Museum; and Friends of Cheekwood. Certifited Member of First Families of Tennessee. Pallbearers: grandsons. Honorary Pallbearers: nephews, Elders of Brenthaven Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Members of Loyalty Sunday School Class. Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from twelve o'clock until three o'clock in the afternoon on Thursday, the 25th of August at Brenthaven Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 516 Franklin Road, Brentwood, TN. The Celebration of Life Service is to be held at three o'clock, with Rev. Kip Rush officiating. Interment to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
