She moved to El Paso in 1942 and graduated from Austin High School. Gloria completed her education with honors at Texas Western College. She was a member of Chi Omega, Kappa Delta Phi and was a Majorette with the Gold Diggers.
Gloria married Frank Daniel "Dan" Marsh in 1953 and had three daughters; Lani, Disa, and Sancie. Gloria began her career as an Educator in 1954 with the El Paso Independent School District and in 1962 with the Ysleta Independent School District, teaching at Scottsdale Elementary and Eastwood Heights Elementary Schools. She was recognized Teacher of The Year while with the Ysleta Independent School District. She was Co-Founder of the El Paso Chapter of The International Reading Association and was President of Zia Village Garden Club in 1958-59.
In 1976 Gloria married Charles Hans Eric Brockmoller, who cherished her and her three daughters. She retired from teaching and soon moved to Tucson, Arizona with Charlie, who was working with Southern Pacific Railroad. Upon his sudden death in 1983, Gloria then returned to El Paso where she was a devoted Grandmother.
In 1986 she married Russell Leroy Johnson.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Audrey Morris.
Our Angel on Earth was lifted to Heaven on May 19th, 2012 ending her many years of suffering with Alzheimer's.
She will always be remembered as dear "Aunt Glo," "Mimi," and a caring and unselfish Mother, forever in our hearts. We Love You Mom!
