She was married to John William "Buddy" Anderson Sr (1929–2011).
Bertha was 81 years old when she passed away on July 8, 2014 in Nashville.
Preceded in death by her parents, her husband, daughter Billie Anderson and by her son John "Bubba" Anderson, she was survived by two daughters, six grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, five 2nd-great-grandchildren, a brother, many nieces and nephews and by a very special female friend.
Burial was in Mount Olivet Cemetery.
