Alvin G. Anderson, 70, died Thursday at Memorial Medical Center after a long
illness.
He as born in Sanish, N.D., and lived in Savannah for more than 50 years and
was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was a member of Landrum Lodge for more
than 40 years and a member of Faith Lutheran Church.
Surviving are his wife, Louise B. Anderson of Savannah; a son, Alan G. Anderson
of Talahi Island; a daughter, Mrs. Charles Geyer of Goshen, Ohio; two
brothers, Clarence O. and Arvid Anderson, both of Chicago; two sisters, Vera
Altabello and Adeline Hijack, both of Chicago; four grandchildren; and four
great-grandchildren.
Graveside service: 3:30 p.m. today in Newton Cemetery in Pooler.
