Acton Anderson March 31, 2008 MACON, GA— Acton Anderson, 87, died Monday at Morningside Assisted Living Facility. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday at Ebenezer United Methodist Church with burial in Riverside Cemetery, North Gate. Dr. Wayne MacDonald and Dr. Derek McAleer will officiate. Members of Macon Exchange Club are asked to serve as Honorary Pallbearers. The staffs of Morningside Assisted Living and Heartland Hospice are asked to sit as a group. The family will meet friends from 5 Ð 7 p.m., Wednesday at Snow's Memorial Chapel, Cherry Street and may be contacted at the Hemingway residence, 5423 Whitehouse Plantation Road, Macon 31210. Memorial contributions may be made to the Methodist Home for Children and Youth, P. O. Box 2525, Macon, GA 31203-2525 or Ebenezer United Methodist Church, 4600 Mercer University Drive, Macon, GA 31210. Mr. Anderson, widower of Mary Amason Anderson, was the son of the late Lucy Davis Anderson and William Grover Anderson and brother of the late Herbert Anderson and Julian Anderson. He was a graduate of Lanier High School and attended Mercer University. Mr. Anderson served in the U. S. Navy during World War II and was the retired owner of Anderson Dental Company. He was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church where he was a member of the Crusaders Sunday School Class and Ebenezer United Methodist Church Choir. Mr. Anderson was a member of the Macon Exchange Club and Dixie Senior Golf Association. Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Sally and Tim Hemingway; grandson and wife, David and Carolyn Hemingway; granddaughter and husband, Mary Ann and Jacob Copetillo; granddaughter, Rebecca Hemingway; two great granddaughters, Emmaleigh Hemingway and Hannah Hemingway; sister-in-law, Doris P. Anderson; brother-in-law, G. Ross Amason, Jr.; brother, Emmett Dennard; brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Edith Dennard and eight nieces and eight nephews.
