Macon, GA-Loyce A. Adams, age 87, passed away Sunday, May 10, 2009 at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Tuesday, May 12, 2009 at Wesley United Methodist Church with interment to follow in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. The Reverend Mark Addington will officiate. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8 PM on Monday evening at Crest Lawn Funeral Home.
Mrs. Adams was a former member of Mabel White Memorial Baptist Church, but for the last four years was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Central City Chapter 28. She was the past District Grand Deputy, State of Georgia, O.E.S. to Alberta, Canada. Mrs. Adams was predeceased by her husband Carlton P. Adams. She and Mr. Adams owned and operated Middle Georgia Insulation Company, where she was the bookkeeper and secretary. Mrs. Adams was a wonderful mother, Nana, and friend to all.
Mrs. Adams is survived by daughter Lynda A. Grissom of Macon; son W. Cary Adams (Nancy) of Lawrenceville; grandchildren Carl Grissom of Byron, Lori Grimsley (Alex) of Macon, Abby Drawhorn (Andy) of Unadilla, Clint Adams of Macon, and Stephanie Barnes of Lawrenceville; and great grandchildren McKenna Grissom of Lizella, Austin Hyatt of Macon, Tyler Grimsley and Bethany Grimsley of Mauk, Brittany Drawhorn of Warner Robins, Kirsten Drawhorn of Macon, Moriah Cadenhead, Alexa Drawhorn and Mariah Drawhorn, all of Warner Robins, Ashley Cadenhead and Frankie Cadenhead, both of Unadilla, and Christian Barnes of Lawrenceville; and several nieces and nephews.
