Dr. A. Garfield Anderson, 88, died yesterday in the Bethany Methodist Home, 4950 N. Ashland Av. Dr. Anderson served as a medical missionary in Korea for 30 years until 1940 and for five subsequent years in Southern Rhodesia. From 1946 until his retirement in 1960, he was on the staff of Bethany Methodist Hospital, 5025 N. Paulina St. Survivors include his widow, Hattie; one daughter, Mrs. Lisa Craton; two sons, Dr. John and Dr. Robert; 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. tomorrow in the chapel at 5149 N. Ashland Av.
