Rev. Father Andlauer. 'at one time a pastor at Kelleys Island, and a special large hospital at St Michael's Ridge, He was an uncle of the late Rev. Charles Andlauer. assistant at St. Mary's church here (Sandusky), and had provided for the younger man's education. The deceased was born In Kappel- am-Rhein, Baden, Germany He was ordained to the priesthood by Cardinal Gibbons of Baltimore in 1884. After his ordination Father Andlauer devoted himself to study for a number of
years. As a member of the Capuchin order he spent six years In Illinois. He was similarly engaged in the dioceses of Concordia, Kan, Wheeling, W. Va., and on December 22, he was Into the Cleveland diocese and made pastor of St. 'Michael's church at Kelleys Island, September 1, he was made pastor of the church at Dungannon. the old Mt parish In diocese of Cleveland. He later engaged In pastoral duties at Milan and finally was sent to St. Michael's Ridge parish.
