A. YEARY ANDRE, 73, of 296 Hawthorne, retired 20-year employe of the Memphis Board of Education, died at 11:15 a.m. yesterday at Baptist Hospital. Services will be at 2:45 pm. tomorrow at Memphis Funeral Home on Union with burial in Forest Hill Cemetery Midtown. He was a deacon at Bellevue Baptist Church and a member of the Businessmen's Bible Class. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Gladys Andre; two daughters, Mrs. Edith Evans of Atlanta and Mrs. Virginia Wilhelm of Louisville, Ky.; a son, Bill Andre, and a brother, John Earl Andre Jr., both of Memphis, and four grandchildren. The family requests that any memorials be sent to the Bellevue Baptist Church Building Fund. (Published in The Commercial Appeal, Memphis, TN, on February 1, 1981)
