She was born May 1, 1870 in Fond du Lac County and had lived in Shawano since her marriage to her late husband, Frank Amel, at Rose Lawn in 1891. He died in 1936.
Survivors include a son, Floyd Amel, Shawano, and a daughter Ione, Mrs. H. L. Angle, Glendale, Calif. A son, Melvin, preceded her in death in 1958.
