From the Pittsburgh Post Gazette, April 28, 1899:
William Lincoln Andrews and bride, who was Miss Martha Henrietta Piper, formerly of Cincinnati, will arrive in Pittsburgh today from Chicago, where they were married Tuesday at the Auditorium. The wedding was without ceremony, only immediate relatives of the bride and groome attending. The bride, who is a member of one of the leading families of the Queen City, has been making her home at Kansas City for some time. The private car of Superintendent William Gipson of the Baltimore and Ohio was sent to Chicago for the use of the bridal party to Pittsburgh. Here Mr. and Mrs. Andrews will be at home at the Hotel Lincoln. Mr. Andrews is well known as the assistant coal and coke agent of the Baltimore and Ohio, with headquarters here. Prior to his appointment to the latter position, he was private secretary to Oscar G. Murray of the Baltimore and Ohio.
