He was a life long resident of Palatka. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of the Church of God By Faith in East Palatka and attended Central Academy High School. He was employed with the Florida Furniture industry for over 26 years before retiring.
Survivors are his wife, Josephine Andrews of Palatka; daughter, Marion E. Andrews-Crumedy of Palatka; step-sons, Danny Crawford of Newark, N.J., Carl Johnson of Palatka, Marvin Johnson of Daytona Beach and Douglas Johnson of East Palatka; step-daughters, Genevia Anderson and Annie Mae Harris, both of East Palatka; sister, Julia M. Parker of St.Petersburg; brothers, Elder Samuel J. (Ruby Lee) Andrews and Willie Lee (Bill)(Hazel) Andrews, all of Palatka; 18 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, 1 p.m. at Church of God By Faith, East Palatka with Rev. Otis Howard, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Palatka Memorial Gardens.
