"Mrs. Edith Taylor Andrews died at her home, near Harmony, on October 5, at 6 p.m., at the age of 38 years. Mrs. Andrews was a daughter of the late Leonard Taylor, well known in Caroline county. She was twice married, her first husband having been Chas. W. Layton, who died several years ago. On March 31st, I924, she was married to Mr. Clarence Andrews. Her home life was one of sweet simplicity, which won the admiration of all who knew her. She was a devoted daughter, wife and mother, and was beloved by a host of friends, for whom she was always ready to do any act of kindness within her power. She will, indeed, be greatly missed in the community where she spent the greater part of her life. She is survived by her husband and five children: Sadie, Leonard, Charlie, Virgil and Ruth. Funeral services were held at Harmony Church on Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, and the large attendance was an evidence of the high esteem in which she was held. The remains were laid to rest in the cemetery at Linchester."
